Notes from Scotland is an exciting composition competition for young composers aged 12-18 years.
Competition entries will be shortlisted with the project culminating in world premiere performances of five finalists’ works, where the pieces will be performed and recorded live by RSNO musicians for an audience and panel of judges. The winning composer will receive a pair of Bose SoundLink® headphones and enjoy VIP access to RSNO concerts.
The only rules are that the composition must be your own original material, is between two- to five-minutes and must be written for instruments found within the RSNO.
There are no restrictions on the genre of music you can submit, compositions can be influenced by any stimulus, you will be asked to share this with us on the application form.
Details of how to enter, plus our terms and conditions can be found on our website.
