Fèisean nan Gàidheal are developing FèisTV – a new service that will allow people across the world to enjoy events streamed from Fèisean, the Blas Festival and other performances in which they are involved. Fèisean nan Gàidheal will also be introducing online traditional music and Gaelic song courses, delivered in the learner’s choice of Gaelic or English. These will be recorded initially but, as broadband speeds improve, they may be able to offer live online lessons in the future.
At the moment Fèisean nan Gàidheal would like to hear from people who may like to collaborate with them in delivering FèisTV:
– Volunteers (within the Fèisean or not) with camera, sound, editing and/or streaming skills
– Professionals with camera, sound, editing and/or streaming skills
– Gaelic speaking musicians and singers who may like to tender for contracts to deliver online music lessons in Gaelic
– Musicians and singers who do not speak Gaelic who may like to tender for contracts to deliver online music lessons in English
Please share widely and if you would like to express an interest, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org outlining which area/s of delivery you might be able to get involved with. Keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks for the initial tenders for the online courses.
